As promised, I want to share some of my super secret favorite cosmetics that I am currently using and a couple of dupes to replace popular and expensive products that we all know and love. I am wearing all of the products I will discuss in the photo below and have included links for you to shop the products directly.
Face: Before applying any concealer or foundation I always start with a primer. One of my ultimate more expensive favorites is Smasbox’ Photo Finish Primer. This primer is clear, not oily and leaves a neutral finish which I like. However, I have found ELF Cosmetics Mineral Infused Face Primer is strikingly similar.
After blending my concealer with a beauty blender I apply Bare Minerals Original Foundation in the color Golden Medium. I find that this loose powder foundation lasts all day long, provides full coverage and works well with my sensitive skin. When I don’t feel like spending the extra money I substitute with Loreal’s Mineral Foundation. The mineral foundation has great coverage but does not offer quite as long of a wear as Bare Minerals does.
Finally HIGHLIGHT. Everyone’s obsession. I finish my face with a highlight on the tip of my nose and Loreal’s Blush in “Rosy Outlook” on my cheek bones. This highlight by Wet n Wild is one of my favorite products because of its high pigmentation. The color of this highlight is almost identical to Becca Cosmetic’s ever-so-popular Champagne Pop.
Eyes: My favorite mascara ever is Tarte’s Mascara but more often than not I am using Cover Girl’s volumizing and lengthening mascara. For eyeliner I prefer a liquid eyeliner with a very thin wand so I can create any kind of wing I want. My recent favorite is Revlon’s Skinny Liquid Liner. I have the liner in jet black and mahogany and both last all day long.
Lips: Currently, my lip favorite for every day Fall wear is MAC’s Viva Glam II paired with my Boldly Bare lip pencil. The color is a muted pink. MAC describes the lip color as having a little shimmer but I love it because its not frosty.
Setting: After everything is all said and done I finish with Urban Decay Setting Spray. I like this spray because its not thick or oily and only very lightly fragranced. A similar product to Urban Decay is NYX’s Matte Finishing Spray.
Please feel free to comment with other recommendations or questions! Lastly as promised, I will link my outfit details from yesterday’s Instagram post below.
