Cosmetic Favorites and Dupes

I want to share some of my favorite cosmetics that I am currently using and a couple of dupes to replace expensive products.  I am wearing all of the products I will discuss in the photo below and have included links for you to shop the products directly.

My typical make-up look

Face: Before applying any concealer or foundation I always start with a primer. My current favorite is Smasbox’ Photo Finish Primer. This primer is clear, not oily and leaves a neutral finish which I like.

Next I go in with concealer. NARs creamy concealer is definitely my favorite, however, Loreal’s concealer is a great dupe when you don’t feel like spending the extra bucks. I use NAR’s concealer in the color “Crème Brulee”.

After blending my concealer with a beauty blender I apply Bare Minerals Original Foundation in the color Golden Medium. I find that this loose powder foundation lasts all day long, provides full coverage and works well with my sensitive skin.

After my foundation is applied, I like to bake with Bare Minerals Finishing Powder. For contouring I apply Bare Minerals Bronzer under my cheek bones.

Finally HIGHLIGHT. Everyone’s obsession. I finish my face with a highlight on the tip of my nose and Loreal’s Blush in “Rosy Outlook” on my cheek bones. This highlight by Wet n Wild is one of my favorite products because its so affordable. I would consider this highlight a dupe to Becca Cosmetic’s ever-so-popular Champagne Pop.

For my brows, my favorite products are ABH dip brow and the ABH brow brush for application. I prefer a darker brow so the dip brow works very well for me.

winged-eyeliner-examplesEyes: My favorite mascara ever is Tarte’s Mascara but more often than not I am using Cover Girl’s volumizing and lengthening mascara. For eyeliner I prefer a liquid eyeliner with a very thin wand so I can create any kind of wing I want. My recent favorite is Revlon’s Skinny Liquid Liner. I have the liner in jet black and mahogany and both last all day long.

Lips: Currently, my lip favorite for every day Fall wear is MAC’s Viva Glam II paired with my Boldly Bare lip pencil. The color is a muted pink. MAC describes the lip color as having a little shimmer but I love it because its not frosty.

Setting: After everything is all said and done I finish with Urban Decay Setting Spray. I like this spray because its not thick or oily and only very lightly fragranced.

I hope you all love these products as much as I do. Please feel free to comment with other recommendations or questions! Below I will link my outfit details from yesterday’s Instagram post.
